Kings Of Lyon are the definitive tribute to Kings of Leon. From the grunge and rock and roll of the pioneering first two albums to their trademark soaring stadium sound, Kings of Lyon are inseparable from their American counterparts and you can see them tonight at The Bungalow.
Kings of Lyon exploded onto the scene at the beginning of 2009 and have been propelled to the top of the tribute ladder. The band have risen to become one of the most sought-after tributes of recent years; stunningly faithful in every aspect from an inseparable appearance to their gut wrenching, soaring stadium sound. You can get tickets on the door tomorrow from 7pm.
Paisley Rock Choir are performing live at The Bungalow on Sunday with proceeds of the gig going towards helping build classrooms in Malawi. This year will be in memory of Ruby Whitelaw, a dearly loved and missed friend of The Bungalow. Ruby was an incredible person, who dedicated so much of her time to this cause over the years, and this year will be a special night in remembrance of her. £5 donation on the door from 1pm.
After the fundraiser there is a Lux Cabaret 50’s night. It will be a dazzling night of variety entertainment, burlesque beauties, drag extravaganzas, comedic legends and curiosities. You can pay at the door from 7pm.
Tuesday Open Stage starts at 7pm. If you want to get on stage and jam or play some songs this is for you. The house band will be there to help and full backline available. Free entry.
On Wednesday it’s time for PaiSlay Pride! Celebrating everything queer plus it is their 1-year anniversary! Don’t miss the show of the year! Tickets on the door from 7pm.
Thursday Introducing Night next week features a show called Solo Sonnets which is a six-act line up featuring Corin, Cameron Taylor, Erin Meg, David Moore, Girl Upstairs and Adam Brogan. You can pay at the door from 7pm.
The Keg have Bicycle Trip plus support in tonight at 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time is The Burnt Oot Blues Band. Thursday’s Keg Session starts at 9pm for more original music.
The Swan have Used Blues in tonight at 8pm and tomorrow Moonrocks are on stage at 4pm followed by Duncan McLellan. The Sunday Soul Club starts at 3pm with John and Maria on the decks. Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday from 4pm, Lee James starts his comedy and song stage show on Tuesday at 3pm and every second Thursday at 5.30pm, Duncan McLellan kicks off at 4pm on Wednesday.
The Cave’s line up this week is The La Di Da’s tomorrow at 5pm followed by Canyon at 8pm. Rock Therapy are playing on Sunday from 6pm.
Sad Ida will be playing at Kennedy’s on Sunday from 3pm and over at The Inn on the Corner Alleystars will be on stage from 4.30pm
The Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Cave from 7pm on Thursday. The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
