Get Active Coaching CIC was founded in 2020 by Martin McKellar, our Chief Exercise Officer, with a clear mission: to help more people get active and improve their health and wellbeing. Built on a foundation of community, inclusivity, and personal development, our goal has always been to make fitness more accessible, supportive, and enjoyable for everyone — regardless of their starting point.
Where We’re Based & What We Do:
In December 2024, we proudly opened the doors to our own dedicated training space at Unit 15, Abercorn Industrial Estate in Paisley (just behind B&M). From this base, our small but passionate team of four delivers three core services: our beginner-friendly weightlifting club, one-to-one lifestyle coaching (personal training), and a free community sport programme funded by The National Lottery’s Young Start Fund.
Together, these services help over 150 people every week to move more, feel better, and build lasting healthy habits. And the best part? We’re only just getting started — with further expansion planned for July 2025 to reach and support even more people across our community.
