Paisley’s Christmas is to host two dedicated ASN ice-rink sessions as part of its line-up of festive activities.

One of the festival’s top attractions and a first for Paisley, the undercover ice-rink is a popular activity in the lead up to Christmas as families look to soak up the festive spirit and enjoy a great day out.

The ASN sessions will take place on Sunday 11 December and Sunday 18 December at 10am.   Each session, which lasts 45 minutes, will be designed to make it a more sensory friendly environment to support people with ASN requirements.

Visitor capacity on the ice-rink will be reduced and both the sound and the lighting will be toned down to make the experience quieter and more comfortable.  Skating aids will be available.

Marc Taylor, CEO of event supplier, Scotland’s Theme Park said, “We want everyone to enjoy Paisley’s Christmas and hopefully by hosting these two events families can enjoy some inclusive, fun time together.”

Paisley’s Christmas gets underway on the 30th November running daily until 30 December.  As well as the ice-rink, the event will feature traditional festive rides, a Christmas market and other community hosted activities.
