The SAMAS Paisley Takeover continues tonight with 3 great bands. Tijuana Bibles, an uproarious, hellacious, all killer hooks and chaotic dissonance. Featured as BBC Radio 1’s Next Wave artist, Tijuana Bibles ‘Free Milk’ charted in the official Top 40. 

BRSR are a four-piece Alt/Post-Metal outfit from Glasgow & Paisley. Formed from the remains of three local groups (The Dunts, Sway, Animals to Creators) The band are known for their crushing rhythms and stunning melodies.

Alternative rock duo based in Glasgow Saint Sappho, fuelled by multi-instrumentalist Zoe and drummer Tammy – the nexus between both members creates a unique sonic result. The pair collaborate to establish sounds of 90’s rock embedded through the use of distorted guitars alongside melancholic vocals. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Tomorrow afternoon is The Bobby Deans Big Band. Free entry and doors are 7pm. 

Get ready for a night of soulful tunes an energetic performances as Dave Finnegan brings “The Commitments” to life at The Bungalow tomorrow night. He is the Original Man from The Film ‘The Commitments’. Over twenty years on, neither time age nor music has managed to tame one of the soul survivors of the Commitments. Tickets on the door tomorrow night from 7pm.

Root Cause are playing on Sunday. They are a 9-piece funk and soul collective featuring 3 lead singers and a funky soulful band with brass section playing tunes to make you groove. This is a free entry gig, and doors are at 1pm. 

If it’s laughs you need after a long hard week then head down to The Bungalow for another ‘Bungalaff’. This week’s guests include Kirsty Lynch, Peter Bell, Tattoo Dave, Robin Zetina, Ben Bainbridge and Mick Cullen. The night is hosted by Richie McMahon and the headliner is Darren Connell. Tickets on the door from 7pm. 

Tuesday is The Bungalow Jam Open Stage Night. The Jam House Band are there to entertain and help out any performers. All backline and drumkit provided just bring your instruments. From 7pm. Next week’s Thursday Introducing Night features The Nohans, The Euphonics and Lost Corral to the stage. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Venue have Live and Laughing on tonight featuring Paisley’s own Liam Farrelly. (Scottish Comedian of the Year Winner 2021, Liam’s also featured on BBC’s Live at the Apollo). Ryan Cullen (Irish Comedian of the Year Runner-up 2016). Rosco McClelland (Scottish Comedian of the Year Winner 2016). The night is hosted by Graham Mackie (Former 4 times Scottish Comedian of the Year Finalist) All proceed from the show go to The Beatson Cancer Charity. Tickets on the door from 7pm. 

Cammy McIlwham is at The Keg tonight from 9pm. The very talented bass player from local band Proposal plays an acoustic set of all the best tunes from all the best bands. Tomorrow night at 9pm is The Keg House Band from 9pm. The Keg Sessions start 9pm on Thursday at 9pm for more original acts. The Cave have an Alternative and Indie night tonight from 7pm. Double header at The Old Swan tomorrow is Fire In at 4pm followed by Dirty Jewels at 8pm. There is also live action tonight (check venue for details) The Northern Soul Club starts at 4pm on Sunday Crawford Carlyle will be playing at 4pm on Monday and Duncan McLellan kicks of at 4pm on Wednesday. Lee Jame is on Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm.
