Work is now well under way to transform Paisley Town Hall into a landmark entertainment venue, with our building contractors currently on site. But we thought people would appreciate these photos taken a few weeks back showing the building as you’ll never have seen it before – stripped back to its natural state, with many of the modern additions removed.

The work we are now doing will preserve the wonderful Victorian architectural features you know and love, but add new facilities which will help ensure this unique building’s long-term future at the heart of life in the town.
That includes new rooms being created inside previously-unused spaces (such as a dance studio, new café-bar and screening room), much-improved performance facilities and audience experience, and new electrical and mechanical system.
The town hall is being transformed as part of a wider investment by the council in Paisley’s cultural venues, including turning Paisley Museum into a international-class destination, aimed at driving new footfall to the area. You can see more on the project – including a behind-the-scenes video
