Reigning SNL Playoff champions Paisley Pirates have commenced the assembly of their  squad for the new season by announcing the return of influential player/coach Adam Walker.

This will be his third season as a Pirate and brings a wealth of experience to the Paisley side having played at the top level for a number of clubs including Fife, Guildford, Cardiff, Manchester, Braehead/Glasgow and Telford. He then took over coaching duties with Dundee Comets and was then recruited for the Pirates two years later

The Fifer, who ironically made his professional debut as a 14 year old against Paisley Pirates some years ago, said, “I’m more than happy to be part of the Pirates organisation. Before I joined, they always looked a well run club which does things the right way, and that feeling was confirmed when I came on board. We’ve got better year on year, have a fantastic history and always strive to put a very competitive side on the ice. I’m happy to play my part in their success story, and while I certainly enjoy the coaching side of my role more than the playing, I still  get a lot of pleasure from the latter, and I’m happy to continue doing so for as long as it’s necessary.”

Head Coach Ian Turley commented, “Adam is a key member of the bench and is extremely  influential for both the experienced and young players we have at the club. As a coach, he brings a lot of new ideas to the table, and on the ice the players look up to him.”
