I am going to showcase Townhead Terrace in a few parts because while this is a ‘development’ the buildings are actually a bit different on either side of the road and different again from those at the High St. part.
All the closes have the same wally tiles that tie the whole development together and there are some interesting carvings on the High St. Buildings.
The terrace also falls under the Cross and Oakshaw Conservation area.
This development was built on the site of Townhead House, the birthplace of John Wilson (aka Christopher North) so I’ll share more information on that as well.
Looking down the Terrace, these photos are on the right-hand side and round to the right.
