May 17, 2024Award-winning actor/comedian Gavin Mitchell appears as one of a series of very special ‘evening with’ events in 2024 at The Bungalow. He brings an evening of fun, laughter, and memories of his 30-year career in showbusiness, with an opportunity for the audience to ask anything they’ve ever wanted about the iconic Still Game!
Gavin’s delivers multiple side-splitting anecdotes from his experiences in theatre, film, television, and radio. After 62 episodes, 21 years, and a record-breaking run of live shows at the OVO Hydro, Gavin will share stories of his time as ‘Boaby the Barman’ on the hit sitcom Still Game, lifting the lid on some of the secrets that have led him to be one of Scotland’s most admired household actors.

Smokin at Tiffany’s the incredible 10-piece Funk & Soul band is back at The Bungalow for another super Saturday afternoon. It is free entry and doors are 1pm and get in early as it is usually a busy one.
The Foo Fifers – Scotland’s Ultimate Foo’s Tribute band plus the Red Hot Chilipinos return to the Bungalow for another great show. The last time they were at The Bungalow it was a fantastic night celebrating two great bands. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
The very popular Mod band The Go Steady are playing on Sunday. They have a real early Mod sound, and the band has a huge following so get in early. Doors at 1pm and it is free entry.
On Tuesday it is Paint and a Pint Night. For £3 entry come to the open mic night and have a paint session. Art supplies included to use on the night from 7pm. Next week’s Thursday Introducing Night features Lonely Daze, Ports of Eden and Connor Mcgeechan. The big bands of the future start here. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
The Johnny Cash Roadshow – Sin and Redemption Tour heads for Venue-Paisley tonight. You will not want to miss this. With standing ovations every night, the Johnny Cash Roadshow is the longest-running, most recognised and still the biggest and best celebration of Johnny Cash in the world today guaranteed to leave you wanting more. Mark McMillan will be playing at The Keg tonight from 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time it will be Bicycle Trip plus support. The Keg Sessions for emerging original talent starts at 9pm on Thursday.
Three bands this week at The Cave is, tomorrow at 5pm it is the mighty Kong followed by Sad Ida at 8pm and on Sunday the amazing Nightfly will be kicking off at 6pm.
The Old Swan have another jam-packed week starting with live action tonight at 8pm and tomorrow one of my favourites Epic starts at 4pm. Swan Soul Sunday starts at 4pm. Monday’s acoustic session starts at 4pm Lee James will be performing on Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm. Crawford Carlyle will be playing from 4pm on Wednesday followed by The Old Swan’s first Wild Wild Wednesday Country Night. Expect shots, Line Dancing, Hats n Scarves and a lot of Yee Haa. Starts at 8pm.
Monkey Business are at Kennedy’s on Sunday from 3pm and The Inn on the Corner have local duo Small Town Sound who make a lot of noise for just two of them.
Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Cave from 9pm on Thursday.
