October 2, 2025Today, the Scottish Government announced a new Connecting Scotland Digital Inclusion Fund and is open for applications. This is a valuable opportunity for organisations across Renfrewshire working to tackle digital exclusion.
The fund is administered and managed by the Scottish Government and forms part of the UK Government’s Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund. It aims to support initiatives that help individuals and communities overcome barriers to digital access, skills, and confidence.
Applicants may apply for funding between £10,000 and £50,000, depending on the scope and nature of the proposed project.
Funding is available under two categories:
- Category 1 – £321,692
Resource support for projects that replicate or scale best practice in digital inclusion interventions or deliver innovative approaches to tackling digital exclusion.
- Category 2 – £120,635
Capital investment in equipment and assets to support the delivery of digital inclusion activities (e.g. laptops, devices, software).
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply to secure support for work that makes a real difference in people’s lives—whether through providing devices, connectivity, or digital skills training.
