Renfrewshire’s LEP has been established for over 14 years and is recognised nationally as best practice in terms of local place-based partnership approaches to meeting the needs of the local area.
More than 1,900 residents in the past year have been supported by Renfrewshire Council’s employability services to overcome barriers to work and secure positive employment, education and training opportunities.
Councillor Andy Steel, Convener of Renfrewshire Council’s Economy and Regeneration Policy Board, said: “Renfrewshire has made fantastic strides in recent years in supporting our residents into employment, training and education, in large part because of the collaborative working of the local employability partners.
“Renfrewshire Employability Month is a great showcase of the breadth of opportunities available to everyone living and working here to learn new skills, gain qualifications and either start work or change jobs.
“I’d urge everyone to check out the programme of events, sign up for any that interest you and share with anyone you think might benefit – there really is something for everyone.”
