Public urged to be alert to financial scams and theft
February 21, 2025ACCORD Hospice Annual Art Exhibition returns for a fourth year to The Art Department in Paisley and will be the inaugural exhibition in the new gallery at 9-11 Causeyside Street, Paisley. The show opens on 15th April and runs until 31st May 2025, giving it a 6-week long run to encourage more entries, increase sales and raise valuable funds for ACCORD in aid of palliative care.

Exhibition highlights include the return of the popular Mini Masterpieces – where artists can submit work measuring 15cm x 15cm; a new section of the show will be dedicated to a range of Souvenir, Limited-Edition Prints, Posters and Greetings Cards – artists are invited to donate artworks with 100% of purchases benefitting the fundraising campaign.
New to this year’s show is the Featured Artists Programme featuring work by invited artists with a particular interest or long association to the charity, to submit up to 12 artworks for the show. Artists on this year’s programme include: Ipshita Debnath Wittenkamp Meyer, Lil Brookes, Lilias Conroy, and Marion Gardyne. A full colour catalogue will be available for sale and a range of raffle prizes will be on offer, with donations welcome from local businesses. The show has been organised and managed by The Art Department in partnership with ACCORD Hospice.

David McFadden, Fundraising and Communications Manager, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with The Art Department on ACCORD’s annual art exhibition. It’s going to be bigger than previous years, and we’ve added a Featured Artists Programme and there will be the welcome return of Mini Masterpieces. We’ve extended the run of the show to ensure we’re maximising fundraising, given the increased costs for palliative care and the growing need for better financed social services.”

Steven Thomson, Creative Director, The Art Department, Paisley Limited, said: “The Art Department is delighted to be working more closely with ACCORD Hospice in what has become a long running and cherished art exhibition for local artists. There has never been a more critical time to raise funds for palliative care and we’re proud to support ACCORD Hospice in their continuing mission of care.”
Lisa Charlwood Green, Co-Chair, The Art Department, Paisley Limited, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with ACCORD. The charity is so important and their exhibition benefits both ACCORD and The Art Department, as well as giving artists a platform.”
Eòghann MacColl, Co-Chair, The Art Department Paisley, Limited, said: “The Art Department is all about enabling and empowering everyone to participate in the Arts. It will be great to see artists from across Paisley and Renfrewshire showcase their talent in this fantastic exhibition.”
