Weekend Entertainment in Paisley: Live Music, Comedy, and More at The Bungalow, Old Swan, and Local Venues

The fantastic David Bowie tribute, Spiders on Mars return to The Bungalow tonight. A spokesman for the Band said, “No pantomime, no laughing gnomes and definitely no silly wigs… just the music of Bowie played as hard and as honestly as we can”. They play music from every era of David Bowie’s career. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Tomorrow afternoon the very popular M65s return with another free Saturday afternoon session packed full of Mod and Northern Souls Classics. Doors are at 1pm. 

The Reclaimers are on tomorrow night with their Scottish theme which consists of a mix of songs from many of the top Scottish Bands and Artists over the years such as, The Proclaimers, Del Amitri, The Waterboys, Rod Stewart, Big Country, Wet Wet Wet, The Bay City Rollers, Frankie Miller and many more. Tickets on the door from 7pm. 

On Sunday morning The Bungalow have a screening of Frozen with singalong featuring a guest appearance from Bella. Kids £2 ticket includes a drink and treat on arrival Strictly 2 adults per child/group Adults go free Screening starts 11am. Tickets from Eventbrite. After the movie The Gift will be on stage with the sound of the sixties that just keep carrying on. Free entry and doors are 1pm. After the live music it is Sassy Backbone Comedy time which is a night of Magic Comedy and Burlesque. Tickets on the door from 7pm. 

Tuesday Open Stage and Jam Session starts at 7pm. If you want to jam, collaborate or get up on stage to sing a few songs this is you chance or maybe just sit back and enjoy the music. 

Venue are having a ‘Glittery Christmas Special’ tomorrow night brought to you by Hot Love. The band are one of the most exciting and authentic tribute acts around and play all the hits by Marc Bolan and T Rex. Added to that they put in a high-energy set of all the popular favourites from the Glam Rock era. This is the perfect party night out to get into that Christmas feeling. Tickets on the door from 7pm. 

Live action at The Old Swan starts tonight with Fire In at 8pm and tomorrow at 4pm it will be Midnight Moses. Sunday Soul Club kicks off at 4pm and the Old Swan Pensioners Christmas Shindig stars James Lee on Monday from 1pm. This is a free event but let the venue know you’re coming by popping in or calling 0141-562-0908. Listen to the amazing voice of Crawford Carlyle on Monday from 4pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm Lee James will be singing and keeping you amused with jokes and stories then on Wednesday David McKellar starts at 4pm. Comedian Dee Maxwell has a show on Thursday. You can get tickets at the venue, and she starts at 8pm.

The Highway Chile is at The Keg tonight from 9pm and tomorrow night also at 9pm Canyon will be on stage playing some guitar driven rock classics.  Discover the stars of tomorrow at The Keg Sessions from 9pm on Thursday. 

The Cave have another cracking line up for the weekend starting with Howlin’ Radio tonight at 8pm then tomorrow from 5pm it is Hung Jury followed by Slider at 8pm. The amazing Nightfly finishes the weekend off on Sunday at 6pm.  

Kennedy’s have one of Paisley’s favourite bands playing on Sunday and they are Wreckless (by name and nature) and they start at 3pm. The Inn on the Corner have a double bill on Sunday starting with Cammy McIlwham at 2pm followed by Drty Luv at 4.30pm. 

Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Wee Howff from 8pm on Thursday. The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
