St Vincent’s Hospice was delighted to welcome supporters, sponsors and members of our local community to the launch of our new Hub.  Board of Trustees Chair Eunice Muir introduced Provost Lorraine Cameron who cut the ribbon to officially open the new space which will host our Day Services programme.

St Vincent’s Hospice Chairperson, Eunice Muir said “We are extremely grateful to our local benefactors who have gifted both funding and time to enable the conversion of the Barn Tearoom into our new Hub. The care delivered by our Day Services Team will the hosted within The Hub enabling our communities across Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire access to wellbeing sessions designed to empower individuals living with life limiting illnesses to live to the fullest. This may be through exercise programmes, addressing common problems people experience, access to our specialist team or simply a coffee and chat. People will be able to access the service at a time that suits them both in person and via our website. Thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to welcoming families”

Hospice Day Services Co-ordinators Kara McFie and Carol Buzzing are new to the Community Team and have been putting together a brand new programme of events designed for therapeutic benefits which are already proving popular with  individuals using our service.
