May 26, 2023One of the UKs best new Reggae bands is heading for The Bungalow tonight. Riddemption are – A multi-national collective and a mix of youth and experience, Riddemption have a mission to deliver UK based original roots rock reggae that pays tribute to the forefathers and queens of the genre that have gone before them.
Formed in 2019, the collective brings together the best available reggae minded talent in Scotland and solid original Riddems. Riddemption have so far released Three Eps and two singles. All are recent studio projects built around their traditional Riddim versions. Multi version releases of Chanters, 16 Tons and other riddims bring not only Riddemption’s songwriting to the fore but also showcase their production and collaborations with other artists.
“Do They Know” and “Miles Away” featuring Tom Spirals to name just two. Future releases will feature collabs with reggae legends and Grammy Nominees. The band, along with various regular and guest singers have so far created a real buzz in the UK and are working hard to reach as many new fans as possible to pay their dues and keep roots rock reggae alive in a full band setting. The Bobby Deans Big Band will be blasting out the brass tomorrow afternoon. Free entry from 1pm.
Tomorrow night well known favourites around Paisley, Nightfly are ready to give you a fantastic Classic Rock set that will be amazing. The band is full of great musicians and guarantee to give you some songs you haven’t heard for a while. Also on the bill is Tam Petty and The Heartfakers. Europe’s No1 tribute to one of Americas greatest rock n roll icons. Five lads from Glasgow keeping the music of Tom Petty and his incredible band, The Heartbreakers, alive. Enjoy the all the hits spanning a forty year plus history, from “American Girl” to “Running Down A Dream” as well as some “deep cuts” such as “105 Degrees” and “Yer So Bad” all played just how the late great Thomas Earl Petty intended them to be. All this for a FIVER from 7pm.
Bungalaff8 kicks off on Sunday night and for £10 on the door you get – Host Richie McMahon and Billy Kirkwood, Ricky Motion, Lauren Steven, Sean Reid, Jamie Mcauley, Cubby, Taylor Graham, Mick Cullen and Brian Kavanagh. The Bungalow Club is back on Wednesday from 2pm. Join in the fun and enjoy the show. Free Entry. Introducing Night on Thursday features Mooney, Kelyde and Rennaisance. Tomorrow night Ocean Colour Scheme make their long awaited Rocknrolla’s debut. The original date was cancelled due to the dreaded COVID. Ocean Colour Scene have a fantastic catalogue of songs for this tribute to draw from and especially The Day We Caught the Train a venue favourite. Doors are 8pm and tickets are £10.
Tonight, at The Old Swan is Fire In from 7pm. Tomorrow is Magfest all day and the line-up is fantastic and features The Jay Fitzpatrick Band, Dirty Jewels, Wreckless, Gypsy, Sideshow, Moonshine Mojo, Hot Ratz and Distant Sun. Sunday Soul Club starts this week at 3pm followed by The Vagabonds from 7pm. Clyde start at 6pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm Lee James will be singing and telling stories and on Wednesday Duncan McLellan is in his usual slot at 4pm.
Wildcard is at Kennedy’s from 3pm on Sunday and over at The Anchor from 4.30pm it is Jumbo Gibson. The Keg have Jamie Angus in tonight from 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time Bad Boy Boogie are on stage. The Keg Session continues Thursday from 9pm. The Cave have Sad Ida playing tomorrow from 5pm followed at 8pm with Gordon’s Alive. On Sunday it is the monthly Blues Jam from 6pm.
