Roll up, roll up! Renfrew Gala Day is back for 2023 with a full day of circus themed fun for all the family.

Taking place on Sunday 4 June in Renfrew’s Robertson Park from 12pm until 5pm, activities will include rugby taster sessions, face painting, balloon modelling, and of course – circus skills!

The funfair is back for thrill seekers young and old, and there will be a selection of inflatables provided by local Renfrew company Ally Bally’s Bouncy Castles.

No gala day is complete without stalls, and we’ll be showcasing the best of the area with stalls from local traders, community groups and charities.

The McMaster Centre tearoom will be open on the day and will be serving cakes and a selection of drinks, and there will be stalls from local food traders within the main park.

Local musicians and dancers will provide live entertainment throughout the day.

Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron said: “Gala days are a great way to bring the local community together and really celebrate what makes Renfrew such a great place to live.

“It’s bound to be a brilliant day so mark your calendars and come along!”

As part of Gala Week, there will also be a special Renfrew on Film screening at Renfrew Town Hall on Thursday 8 June from 7-9pm.

The screening will feature old movies of the area set to live music from Renfrew Burgh Band and specially commissioned new films, including a cartoon comedy by local animator Jack McKee, and a film to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Renfrew’s Bascule Bridge, by local production company Newshot Productions.

Tickets are free but must be booked online by visiting www.oneren.org/whats-on/
