Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron will be raising much needed funds and awareness for local group Clothed in Love during 2023.

Clothed in Love was launched in 2020 and is based at Mossvale Community Church. The group support local families by providing clothing and other items for children from birth up to 7 years of age.

Provost Cameron said: “Supporting local causes is hugely important to me and I want to help make as much of an impact as possible during my time as Provost.

“Everyone is feeling the pinch right now but for some that pinch feels far greater than it does for others and Clothed in Love is providing essential support to some of our most vulnerable families.

“Along with providing clothes for children up to age 7, volunteers also source necessary items and equipment such as cots, highchairs, prams, nappies, and toiletries.

“This year I’ll be supporting Clothed in Love however I can – whether that’s helping to raise money, sharing their appeals for specific items, or helping with logistical challenges such as storage and sourcing funding.

“There will be plenty of opportunity for you to get involved so please follow our social media channels for the latest updates.”

Alison Hastings, Founder of Clothed in Love said: “We are so grateful to be receiving support from Provost Cameron in 2023. Clothed in Love support vulnerable families across Renfrewshire and we’re looking forward to working with Provost Cameron to ensure all children are given the best start in life, and that no one has to go without essential items.”
