Republica are back and have been very active recently. They have been on the road with a sold-out UK tour and selected European festival appearances including the prestigious Isle Of Wight Festival, and Norway’s Midnattsrocken Festival. Republica dominated the charts in the Nineties and exploded back in 2013 with a new EP, UK tour and festival slots.

Between 1996 and 1999, Republica sold an incredible 3 million albums and clinched Top 5 slots in the UK, America and Europe with platinum sales across the globe, while their hit single ‘Ready to Go’ soared to Number One in many countries.

Their soundtrack to the past few decades – ‘Ready to Go’ featured on more than 300 films and adverts and Wes Craven selected their hit single, ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ for the soundtrack to his hit movie Scream and invited them to perform at its Hollywood premiere.

Republica had a sell-out 20th anniversary tour co-headlining with Space, performances in Dubai, Israel and Germany and a sell-out UK tour with Sir Bob Geldof’s Boomtown Rats. Supporting is young local singer song writer Zoe Tait. Doors are 7pm and you can pay on entry.

Tomorrow afternoon is an opportunity to sit back and sip a wee prosecco and listen to some cool sounds from Leanna Zaccarini and The Moonlighters. Doors are 1pm and entry is free.

In the evening Fleetingwood Mac are back and they will be going through all the best of Fleetwood Mac and playing you tracks from all their top selling albums. Fleetingwood Mac are a sensational and exciting tribute band to the amazing Fleetwood Mac. The band got together through a passion for Fleetwood Mac and their music. The band take you on a journey exploring the big hits from this amazing band. In Support is local singer songwriter Mya Brown. Doors are 7pm and tickets are £14.

For the very first time The Bungalow welcome The UK’s No.1 jive and swing band The Jive Aces. This band is one of the most exciting shows to come to Paisley. Get down and be there when the band explodes on to the Bungalow stage in their trademark yellow suits and join in with the fun. Doors at 7pm and you can get tickets on the night.

On Thursday The Bungalow welcome 3 new bands to its stage with sets from The Frantics, Deltamanic and The Goldilocks Zone. Tickets £5/3 students, doors 7pm and first band starts at 7.30pm.

Rocknrollas have the very popular M65’s in tomorrow night playing a whole load of Classic Mod, Britpop, Ska, Indie and Northern Soul. And on Sunday it is Hitsville PA1. Check with the venue for times.

Tonight at The Old Swan is Underwood Lane …..yes you heard me, that’s right they’re back and the town is buzzing. The gig kicks off at 7pm. Tomorrow at 4pm it is Keeper Lit then on Sunday from 7pm stunning band Abbey Road are back.

On Monday Clyde will be in their usual spot at 6pm, Lee James is playing twice next week. On Tuesday he is performing his Swing Set then on Thursday he will be singing Through the Decades. Both start at 3pm.

Tonight, at The Keg Evan Keen will be playing from 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time Monsters of Metal will be belting out a varied selection of songs from classic rock and metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth and Judas Priest.

The Cave have Blackout on at 6pm tomorrow and after them about 8.30pm it is the turn of Wildcard. On Sunday playing from 6pm it is Emergency Exit. The P90’s are at Kennedy’s on Sunday from 3pm North to Abilene are at The Anchor from 4.30pm.

This week’s Open Mic sessions are Abbey Bar on Monday with Dunky Hunter at 8pm, Jason Flood is the host at Gantry on Tuesday from 9pm; Johnny Barr will be at The Keg on Wednesday from 8.30pm.
