The Bungalow afternoon session tomorrow is a double bill with The M65’s and Bits n Pieces Doors open at 1pm and you can get tickets at the door. Tomorrow night UB40 tribute band One in Ten is back at The Bungalow with their iconic mix of reggae and pop. One in Ten takes great care to put together a show that respects such tracks as Red Red Wine, Can’t Help Falling in Love and Kingston Town.
During their three decades long career, UB40 has revolutionised the pop/reggae genre, bringing it into the mainstream music industry and sparking a community of dedicated tribute acts. On Thursday ‘The Bungalow Introducing Night’ is a Spree Youth Edition featuring The Barely Responsible, The Sankaras and Sam Baird. This is a fantastic line up of 3 of The Bungalow’s most popular acts. It is the first night of The Spree. An Indie Band All Dayer is happening at Rocknrollas that will take you back to the 90’s. And who better to headline this indie explosion but The Absolute Stone Roses. The Absolute Stone Roses are of course a Tribute Band to the Manchester legends The Stone Roses. The band have a set list of Roses classics such as Waterfall, Made of Stone, Resurrection, I Wanna Be Adored, Fools Gold, Love Spreads and many more. The Absolute Stone Roses will blow you away. Their aim is to recreate that iconic sound and vibe that you get at a Stone Roses concert and bring it to live audiences all over the UK and Europe.
The band themselves are big fans with an obvious great love for The Stone Roses and have worked hard to recreate the sound. If you’ve never seen the real deal or want to re-live your youth or feel that vibe then The Absolute Stone Roses will take you on a trip with the attitude and baggy fashion. Retro Dave Dj will be on the decks. Check the venue for details. On Sunday Hitsville PA1 are back again and they will be playing another blinder of a set. Doors at 1pm.
The Cave have a great weekend again for you starting with Blackout tomorrow at 6pm and in the later slot at 9pm it is MoneyPenny. On Sunday evening at 6pm Jim Keilt returns for his monthly Blues Jam.
At The Keg Warren Caplaldi is back due to popular demand from 9pm and tomorrow evening at the same time it is the turn of Howlin Radio. On Thursday as part of The Spree they have Sean Patrick Forbes and Somnia from 8pm.
The Old Swan have Proposal in tonight from 7pm who are surely one of the best 3 piece bands on the circuit. Tomorrow in ‘The Shopper’s Slot’ from 4pm is Fired Up. On Monday the ‘Crazy Gang’ better known as Clyde are back to give you a great start to the week with their uplifting set of popular tunes and their ‘Paisley Banter’. Lee James continues with his musical afternoons on Tuesday with his Swing Session and on Thursday he will be performing his show ‘Songs Through the Decades’. Both gigs start at 3pm.
On Sunday The Anchor have the Rock n Blues band in at 4pm for a bit of, yes you’ve guessed it, a bit of Rock n Blues. Also on Sunday the lovely Lynsey Dolan and her band will be at Kennedy’s and they start at 3pm.
