Thousands of kids, parents, families and friends enjoyed a day in the sun at Renfrew Gala Day this weekend.

Students at McCallum School of Music, Rachel Elliot Performers and Karen E. Moir Dance and Drama took to the stage across the day, treating spectators to excellent performances.

The Gala Day stage also hosted a special preview performance of Trinity High School’s production of Oliver!

Alongside the performances, a variety of activities including football, rugby dance and circus skills had enough to keep everyone entertained.

There were a variety of stalls and food vendors on site, and the funfair and inflatables ensured there was something on offer for all ages.

Renfrew Burgh Band also provided music throughout the day and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Heritage Trust were on site with three of their appliances for some great family photo opportunities.

Renfrewshire’s Depute Provost, Cathy McEwan said: “We had a great turn out from the Renfrew community to support the Gala Day.

It was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying the good weather and the activities on offer. I hope everyone had a great day.”
