Crowds are set to soak up the summer vibes at Barshaw Gala Day with an afternoon packed full of exciting activities for all the family.

Taking place on Saturday 18 June, from 11am to 4pm, Barshaw Park will be a hive of activity as the local community comes together for one of the highlights on the calendar.

Talented musicians, including performers from the McCallum School of Music and Diane Mitchell Music School, will be taking to the stage throughout the day.

There will be a variety of food vendors and stalls selling all manner of treats, and of course, the gala day favourites of inflatables, stalls, and funfair rides will keep everyone entertained.

The Street Stuff bus will be in the park providing football and gaming activities, and Community Circus Paisley will be offering the opportunity for people to have a try at becoming a circus performer.

There will also be free face-painting and glitter tattoos available during the day, alongside the park’s play areas, BMX area and the ever-popular ride-on train.

Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming people from all over Renfrewshire to Barshaw Park on Saturday to celebrate the summer.

“There’s a fantastic array of activities on offer so gather up the kids, your friends and your family and come along to join the crowds set to turn out for a brilliant day!”
