March 25, 2022Tomorrow The Bungalow are welcoming back one of the most popular event they have in the annual; diary – March of the MODS which is a full day of music in aid of Teenage cancer Trust
Line up so far is: Target 5, Proper, Skaledonia, Parliament of Owls, and Worlds Apart.
The event has been run every year in March by Ewan and Annette Eadie. They explained to me that “Young people shouldn’t have to face cancer alone. Teenage Cancer Trust are the only UK charity dedicated to providing the specialised nursing care and support they need” These two local heroes have made thousand for good causes through either organising music events or playing for free at them. More power to them. Doors are at 1pm and starts at 2pm Tickets are £10 on the door.
On Sunday they have another fundraiser, this time for the Ukraine Crisis, The group that will benefit from Sundays efforts will be Harmoniya. The Bungalow’s director Alan McEwan told me “My sister in law Liza Christmas has friends from Vinnytsia in Ukraine that run a charity for people with disabilities, She told me of their need for their clients who need support so I thought I needed to do something to help during this worrying time” He went on “The group have sent a list of what they need and how we can get the help to them. It’s good to have a direct connection with someone we know” Why don’t you pop in to be part of the days efforts to raise money for a group who are at their most vulnerable. Check out their Facebook Page by following this link https://www.facebook.com/vmr.harmoniya/?ref=page_internal
The full day will be filled to the brim with musicians, poets, bands and raffles! There is a packed list of talent hitting the stage all day from 2pm and will go on till 11pm.
