Derek Mackay, SNP MSP for Renfrewshire North & West, is urging students from across Renfrewshire who are applying to attend University next summer to ensure they do not miss the January deadline for applications.
Applications for the majority of courses should arrive at UCAS by Sunday 15th January at 6pm.

Mr Mackay said:
“Although the deadline is some weeks away, it would be easy to get caught up in the upheaval that Christmas brings and forget about your application.
“It would be very unfortunate for anyone to miss out on their number one choice, not to mention wasting years of hard work, because they simply missed the deadline.
“I therefore would urge any student in the area who is planning on applying to attend University next summer to ensure they get working on their application and submit it in good time.”
