Renfrewshire Council named Council of the Year at UK Awards
September 16, 2025Renfrewshire parents and carers with children aged up to 14 are being asked to give feedback on their future childcare and nursery needs.
The early learning and childcare consultation includes questions on nursery and childminding provision, out-of-school care, and school holiday childcare.
It is open to anyone who is expecting their first child or planning to become parents as well as parents and carers who currently use childcare services.
Councillor Emma Rodden, convener of Renfrewshire Council’s Education and Children’s Services Policy Board, said: “Understanding what parents and carers need from childcare services and early years will help teams ensure services meet current and future needs. That’s why it is important as many people as possible take part in this consultation and help give us a clear picture of family childcare needs.”
Renfrewshire Council has 38 early learning and childcare centres and classes and two out-of-schools clubs. The Council also works with funded partner nurseries, childminders and out-of-school care providers to develop childcare provision to meet the needs of parents and carers.
The Council consults on childcare requirements every two years.
People have until Monday 29 September to put forward their views.
