Scottish singer and songwriter Ian Donaldson from Glasgow – a founder member of pop/new wave band, H2O is at The Bungalow tonight. He later joined the band, Fourgoodmen, along with Bruce Watson, and Derek Forbes and Mick MacNeil (both formerly with Simple Minds). Ian is now signed to former band-mate Alan McGee’s label: It’s Creation, Baby, releasing new single, “All I Have is Forever” in 2022. In support is Graham Robertson. Doors are at 7pm and you can get tickets on entry. The Byres Road Big Band are back again for another session tomorrow afternoon. Doors are 1pm and it is free entry.

The definitive tribute to one of the biggest bands in rock music – R.E.M are back at The Bungalow tomorrow night. Stipe have performed the songs of R.E.M. to thousands of people worldwide. R.E.M. built a towering back catalogue that reached from the addictive highs of Shiny Happy People down to the reflective darkness of Everybody Hurts, covering all else in between.

Platinum Al had this high praise for Stipe. “Where this band succeeds is in the accuracy of the sound … the lead singer looks the part, his voice is a fairly uncanny likeness of Michael Stipe’s …the other musicians also create a brilliant rendition of the songs, fully convincing and delivered with confidence.” And finally – this is what the lead singer of R.E.M said about Stipe.

Bungalaff is back again on Sunday from 7pm. Pop in and enjoy some stand-up comedy hosted by Jamie ‘Big Mac’ McCauley and headlined by Ross Daly it is not to be missed. Doors at 7pm.

On Thursday afternoon The Bungalow are hosting Renfrewshire Council’s Wee Spree and it is something for the family. Get your dancing feet on at Stramash – a family ceilidh and Gaelic fun day as part of the Wee Spree Festival, with musicians from Fèis Phàislig’s and the Ceilidh Trail, songs, and storytelling from Live Music Now’s Tiny Tales for Tiny People as part of Year of Stories, and award-winning folksinger Iona Fyfe. Starts at 1pm.

The Bungalow Introducing Night welcomes back Leisure Land with their bright indie tunes, The Lines with their alternative rock sound and newcomers Bitter Suite. Tickets on the door which open at 7pm.

Local band and female fronted AD/GC are playing at Rocknrollas tonight and they will be taking you through a dynamic set of AC/DC classics like Highway to Hell, Whole Lotta Rosie, Thunderstruck and loads more. Check venue for times.

Tomorrow night The Johnny Cash Roadshow rolls into town. This is the only show to be endorsed by the Cash Family. The award-winning Clive John pays homage to Cash’s career as the Man In Black, alongside his iconic wife June Carter (Meghan Thomas) the Roadshow Horns, and on selected shows The ‘Carter Sisters’. With all the hits such as Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Get Rhythm, Orange Blossom Special and Boy Named Sue are packed together in one fantastic unforgettable evening’s entertainment. The Keg has Mark McMillan playing tomorrow night at 9pm. The Old Swan the very talented Feeva in tonight.
