Tonight The Bungalow have a fantastic double bill of Electric Eighties music in the shape of A Little respect an Erasure tribute and Very Pet Shop Boys a Pet Shop Boys tribute. Expect a night of great songs such as A Little Respect, Blue Savannah, Love to Hate You, Always on my Mind, West End Girls and Go West. Tickets for £10 can be bought at the door and they open at 7pm.

Tomorrow afternoon Leana Zaccarini and The Moonlighters are back for another afternoon of laid back tunes. Starts at 2pm and entry is free. If  you want a seat get in early from when the doors open at 1pm. 

Tomorrow night The Complete Stone Roses are back. They are one of the UK’s most well-known, most seen and most successful tribute bands. Selling out venues across the UK and Ireland regularly, they have helped to carry on the music of one of the UK’s most influential bands – The Stone Roses.

The Stone Roses played a pivotal role in the history of the UK’s indie music scene. Famous hits like Fools Gold, I Am The Resurrection and I Wanna Be Adored are as recognisable now as were the heyday of Madchester and the Hacienda, the cultural icons from which the original band were born.

The Complete Stone Roses play to acclaim from fans themselves, the press, and even original Stone Roses band members. Doors 7pm, limited tickets left. 

The popular open Stage Sunday is on again this week. These afternoons are amazing. You can get anything from a 12 year old singing a pop song, a trumpet player performing a jazz piece, a young band rocking it out and a jam session that grows arm and legs.  Entry is free, doors are at 2pm and the action starts at 3pm. Thursdays Introducing Night line up includes The Guillotines, The Deploied and Firing At Statues. Tickets are £5/£3 for students and available via Eventbrite. Doors at 7pm. 

George the medium is back at Rocknrollas tonight. Join internationally renowned medium George as he delivers accurate, uplifting and healing evidence of your loved ones in the spirit world. George will be joined by a guest medium on the night and private readings will also be available. The demonstration will run all the way through without a break but the bar will be open prior to and after the demonstration. Tickets are available at the door. The event is non allocated seating. On Sunday Thunder Road are playing early afternoon. Its a free event and doors are at 1.30pm. 

 The Old Swan start with a live act tonight at 5pm (TBA) then Vintage Vinyl is in tomorrow at 4pm. Monday Cammy Miller will be playing from 4pm. Lee James is in his weekly double whammy with his Rat Pack Show on Tuesday at 3pm then he is back at the same time with his Hits Through The Decades Show on Thursday. Duncan Mclellan will be playing in the Wednesday slot this week at 5pm.

Monkey Business are playing in Kennedy’s on Sunday from 3pm. The Anchor are serving up two bands this week. Tomorrow it is Best Bad Inluence at 4.30pm and on Sunday also at 4.30pm it is Splendid Suns.

The Keg haven’t  went far to book an act for tonight. Their very own King of the Keg Open Mic Johnny Barr will be playing a ‘home game’ from 9pm then tomorrow night also at 9pm it is Bad Boy Boogie. The Cave’s mad weekend starts tonight with Mojo Filter at 8pm, Saturdays 6pm slot is TBA (check Facebook for details)  later at 9pm it is The Best Bad Influence and on Sunday from 6pm it is Kong. 

This weeks Open Mic sessions are: Abbey Bar 8pm, Gantry 9pm and The Keg 8.30pm. Andy Lindsay hosts this months Columba Club Open Mic in Clyde Street Renfrew. It’s a family friendly event and all ages are welcome to come along and join in from 3pm.
