TV celebrity chef James Martin has teamed up with potato king, Albert Bartlett to launch a SpudULike By James Martin eatery at the Braehead Centre.

It’s a concept that takes the humble baked potato to a whole new level and the re-branded restaurant in the upper mall at Braehead opened today/yesterday. (Friday Oct 29)

And the imaginative menu of delicious toppings devised by James is sure to be appealing to hungry shoppers.

James – who presented Saturday Kitchen on BBC One for ten years and is now seen on the hugely popular James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV – has created an amazing new menu for baked potato lovers.

The new toppings include Peri-Peri Chicken Wings, Bad Boy Hot Dog, BBQ Pork Ribs, Chickpea Daal, Butter Chicken and Scottish Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese to name but a few.

James said “I loved Spudulike as a child and jumped at the chance to get involved with it.

“For me it is all about the food and the ingredients, as well as supplying great dishes at affordable prices.

“We’ve got a new menu, a new look and I’m so excited about it.

“We’ve got something for every member of the family and I can’t wait to welcome you in to SpudULike at Braehead!”

Braehead marketing manager, David Lyon said: “James has taken the baked potato into the 21st century with his fabulous menu of toppings.

“Visitors to Braehead will be very impressed with not only the new menu, but the complete re-brand and re-launch of the restaurant.

“It’s just another example of the wide variety of stores and eateries we are attracting to Braehead.”
