Funding from The National Lottery Community Fund means Renfrewshire can help people from minority ethnic groups become more involved in their communities.
A New Buddies Network Officer will support more people to access health services, education, and employment, plus social and cultural activities.
Alan McNiven, chief executive at Engage Renfrewshire said “this is great news for our minority ethnic groups who may be unaware of what Renfrewshire has to offer, or how to access it.”
“We want people to feel a better sense of belonging, and to feel genuinely connected to their communities. We know that connectedness leads to improved wellbeing and community engagement. It’s important that everyone living in Renfrewshire has an opportunity to access the opportunities that are available to them. “
