July 2, 2019YOUNGSTERS can have a barrow-load of fun playing at being construction workers in a new building site made especially for them.
Or they can jump start the summer holidays by driving around a mini town in toy cars on marked roads with traffic lights and their own petrol station.
The building site has been created in Soar at intu Braehead and the mini driving school is at the central atrium of the intu Braehead shopping centre.
All the free activities, which are ideal for families to enjoy, run from June 29 to August 13.
And anyone signing up to the intu Family Club during the summer will be invited to exclusive days of activities and prizes.
Youngsters who fancy being a construction worker for a day will have tons of fun when they grab a hard hat, clipboard and get ready to start their working day.
Once on site they can ride a dumper truck dodging cones on the way, start digging in a sandpit and building with bricks. There are plenty of tools, like jackhammers and wheelbarrows to help them get to work.
Meanwhile in the shopping mall instead of driving mum and dad mad when they go shopping, the kids can drive themselves around the specially-created driving school track with mini traffic lights, burger shack, petrol station and general store.
Marketing manager of intu Braehead, David Lyon said: “We’ve created an exciting new world for families who let their imaginations run wild as they become builders for the day or scoot around a mini-town in their cars.
“The construction site and roadway are just like the real thing and families always enjoy taking part in the fun event together. They’ll really love the free activities we’re putting on for them this summer.”
