Tee Off in the Open Championship 2016 this July
Paradise Island Adventure Golf is driving Scots to tee off the summer holidays with a trip to the indoor miniature golf leisure destination in Soar at intu Braehead.
Set amidst a tropical island paradise, the adventure golf centre features two bespoke 18-hole golf courses, surrounded by exotic wildlife and magnificent stone carvings and statues, and offers a fun-filled day out for families and friends.
The world’s finest golfers are set to compete at The 145th Open at Royal Troon in Ayrshire this July and Paradise Island Adventure Golf is hosting its own Open Championship for mini golfers from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th July.
Players can take part in the competition in one of three age categories, for the chance to win a trophy and an unlimited six-month pass for a group of four. The runner-up in each category will also score an unlimited six-month pass.
The Tiki Hut Trail voyage is full of twists and turns, designed to send the ball and player on a rollercoaster ride, while the Maggie McCaw’s Challenge expedition offers more adventurous voyagers the chance to test their skills through a maze of obstacles and uneven terrain.
Both courses culminate at the finale 19th hole, where players are challenged to complete it in one for the chance to win a free game pass.
Craig Nichol, Marketing Manager at Paradise Island Adventure Golf, said: “This is the ninth year running that we’ve hosted our very own adventure golf Open Championship in Soar at intu Braehead and we’re looking forward to inviting locals of all ages and abilities to the green, as well as welcoming back some of our seasoned champions.
“We hope that The Open in Ayrshire will inspire people to test out their putting skills and what better way to do that than to take part in our Open Championship.”
The Paradise Island Adventure Golf Open Championship will take place between Thursday 14th and Sunday 17th July and is free to take part when playing a game of adventure golf.
