Inspired by the host city of the 2016 Olympic Games, this year’s Renfrew Gala Day fun will have a distinctly carnival atmosphere.
Taking place at Renfrew’s Robertson Park on Sunday 5 June, Renfrew Gala Day is the ideal afternoon out for all the family. Expect live entertainment, fairground rides, free family arts and crafts activities, petting zoo, vintage fire engines and much, much more!
Community groups from Renfrew will embrace this year’s carnival theme by dressing up in feathers, sequins and headdresses before participating in the annual Gala Day parade. Spectators can catch the colourful procession as it leaves Canal Street at 1pm and makes its way to Robertson Park to mark the start of Gala Day at approximately 1.30pm.
In the lead up to Renfrew Gala Day, the annual Bonnie Baby and Toddler competition will take place at the Cherrie Centre on Wednesday 1 June, from 12.30pm – 1.30pm (registration at 12 noon for 0 – 4 years).
