Staying Safe: Preventing Everyday Accidents
April 2, 2026Renfrew Community Council has announced that its Easter Egg Hunt, originally planned for this weekend, has been rescheduled due to a Met Office yellow weather warning for strong winds linked to Storm Dave.
The event will now take place on Monday 6 April 2026, from 1pm to 3pm at Robertson Park, Renfrew.
The decision was taken to ensure the safety and comfort of families attending, with forecast gusts expected to impact outdoor activities across parts of Scotland.
Chair of Renfrew Community Council, Callum Reid, said:
“We were really looking forward to bringing families together this weekend, but the forecast made it clear that conditions wouldn’t be suitable.
Moving the event to Monday, the following day, means we can go ahead safely and make sure everyone has a good experience.”
The Easter Egg Hunt remains a free, family-friendly event, and all arrangements will continue as planned on the new date.
Renfrew Community Council is encouraging residents to share the updated details to ensure no one turns up on the original date.
