Neil Bibby, MSP for West Scotland, has announced Scott Smith from Todholm Primary School in Paisley as the winner of a competition to design his Christmas card this year.
Mr Bibby visited Scott at school to present a prize recognising the young artist’s impressive design of a festive-themed Paisley town hall.
Scott received a certificate and a prize for his achievement in a contest that was open to schoolchildren from across the area to take part in.
Awards were also presented to Diana Maria Kwiecien from St Fergus’ Primary and Olivia Crawford from Ralston Primary, who placed as runners-up.
Neil Bibby MSP said: “I was delighted to present Scott with a prize to congratulate him for his absolutely fantastic winning design for my Christmas card competition.
“Our children and young people are so talented and the standard this year was so high, but of course there could only be one winner – and Scott’s work was outstanding.
“Politicians across country do this and Scott’s design is genuinely the best I’ve ever seen.
“I would also like to congratulate runners-up Diana and Olivia for their fantastic designs too and to thank all pupils who took part.”
Scott Smith said: “I would like to thank Mr Bibby for choosing my design as the winner of his competition. I loved taking part in it.
“I would also like to thank Caroline Gormley from Made In Paisley for her excellent tuition and guidance.”
