June 2, 2025Big Vern n The Shootahs return to The Bungalow with the full band. And tonight is not to be missed! Big Vern n the Shootahs are a nine-piece band performing FUNK, SOUL, DISCO & PARTY tunes with an unrivalled HUGE sound. They have been the number 1 go-to live band since 1989 in the United Kingdom, performing at events, parties and functions as well as travelling across the globe to perform for international audiences. Their set has amazing arrangements of your favourite tunes, featuring a powerful horn section whose music credits include; Wet, Wet Wet, Danny Wilson, Jim Diamond, Gallacher and Lyle, Dan Reed Network and many more. The very talented star of stage and screen Tom Urie is playing tomorrow afternoon. His jukebox show is legendary, shout out your favourite songs and Tom will most certainly play it. (Only if he like it though LOL!) This is a free gig and doors are 1pm.
Tomorrow night Blondie tribute Illegally Blondie will be on stage. They are one of the UK’s best Blondie tribute bands, providing the ultimate Debbie Harry experience. This band have been entertaining audiences with their spot-on renditions of Blondie’s biggest hits. Their performances are highly energetic and visually engaging. Whether you are a fan of Blondie’s music, or you are looking for a fun, nostalgic night out you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back in time to the height of Blondie’s popularity. You can pay at the door from 7pm.
The brilliant Square Go’s will be playing on Sunday afternoon This is a free gig and doors are 1pm.
Tuesday Open Stage starts at 7pm. If you want to get on stage and jam or play some songs this is for you. The house band will be there to help and full backline available. Free entry.
On Thursday there is another night of the finest in alt/new wave/punk and independent music and it features Paperhouse, Roger Bacon and Gary’s Rainbow Shop. Another great line up of new original band son the circuit. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
The Keg have the talented Cameron King in tonight at 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time it will be Fire In who will be rocking the night away with a set full of great songs from the decades. The Keg Sessions start at 9pm on Thursday for more original acts and bands.
The Swan have Abbey Road in tonight at 8pm and tomorrow Epic are on stage at 4pm. The Sunday Soul Club starts at 3pm with John and Maria on the decks. Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday from 4pm, Lee James starts his comedy and song stage show on Tuesday at 3pm and every second Thursday at 5.30pm, Duncan McLellan kicks off at 4pm on Wednesday.
The Cave’s line up this week is Micah Hamilton tomorrow at 5pm followed by Hung Jury at 8pm. Rumours are playing on Sunday from 6pm.
Kennedys Sunday’s regular live session this week features Kong and they start at 3pm. The Inn on the Corner have Blind Panik playing on Sunday at 4.30pm.
The Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Cave from 7pm on Thursday. The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
