October 21, 2024Queen of Ska Rhoda Dakar sings 45 Years of The Bodysnatchers at The Bungalow tonight. Gary Kerr of LnP Promotions said “Rhoda Dakar announced an October UK Tour, and we are delighted to let you know the only Scottish date will be tonight, in Paisley, at The Bungalow. Rhoda will be performing tracks from a whole catalogue from her career over the decades, as well as songs from her triumphant top ten album Version Girl”
Rhoda Dakar began her career as lead vocalist with all female 2Tone band, The Bodysnatchers. She’s recorded with The Specials, Madness and most recently, a colab with the Dub Pistols, Stand Together. Before lockdown, Rhoda toured in Mexico, USA, Europe, UK and Australia. Rhoda is also a respected live DJ and has a radio show, Pork Pie & Mash Up, broadcast monthly on Totally Wired Radio. The very popular SHOUT! return with their BIG 60s sound for another free afternoon of Mod, Northern Souls and great dance tunes for you to dance to. Doors are at 1pm and get in early for a good spot.
After a fantastic show in 2023, Simple Minded return to The Bungalow for another top-class tribute to Simple Minds one of Scotland’s biggest ever bands. Simple Minded will be playing the classic New Gold Dream album from start to finish in the same order you would play it on the vinyl you bought plus more. Tickets on the door tomorrow night from 7pm.
If you want some great music to dance to Bits n Pieces will be playing on Sunday afternoon. Free entry and doors are 1pm. Tuesday Open Stage Jam starts at 7pm.

The Cave will have their usual busy weekend of live action tomorrow at 5pm and 8pm then on Sunday at 6pm. Kennedys have a band in on Sunday (TBA) from 3pm and Blind Panik make a welcome return to The Inn on the Corner on Sunday at 4.30pm.
The Keg have Johnny Barr in tonight from 9pm and Black Dog Forge tomorrow night at 9pm. Discover the stars of tomorrow at The Keg on Thursday. There is a different support and headline act each week, this night is designed to showcase original talent or help those just starting out in their musical career. You could find an established band dropping a new single, a prominent musician trying out a new set list or up and coming artists looking to share their original material with you all. The man behind it all is a well-established musician St Mungo. He has grown a fantastic community of artists looking to discover new talent.
