BOSSES at intu Braehead – that has been given the accolade of Scotland’s top shopping centre – have pledged to make the mall even better for visitors and retailers.
GlobalData has released its Top 50 UK Shopping Centres Report for 2018 and for the first time measured the requirements and data from both tenants and shoppers to give a comprehensive review of the country’s shopping malls.
The intu Braehead centre came 14th in the whole of the UK and was ranked the best in Scotland. Other intu centres throughout the country also featured in eight of the top 20 places in the survey
Peter Beagley, regional director with responsibility for intu Braehead said:
“We’re obviously very pleased to have been given the honour of being rated the top shopping centre in Scotland, but we’re not resting on our laurels.
“We are always looking at ways to improve the experience of visitors coming to the centre and give the wide variety of retailers who have chosen to be here a superb platform to do business.
“Being innovative and creative is very important for us to stay ahead of the curve.
“Our leisure and dining offer, along with events like our recent Baby Shark Dance charity fundraising event, which attracted almost a thousand people to the mall on a Monday morning, are key to keeping intu Braehead at the forefront of people’s minds when they decide where they will go to do their shopping.”
