Fun, free cooking workshops to take place at intu Braehead this half term

Creative cooking tops poll of parents and children who were asked what they most wanted to do during the school holidays

Mini Mary Berrys and pint-sized Paul Hollywoods can get their creative cooking juices flowing at free events taking place at intu Braehead and Soar at intu Braehead this half term.

The shopping centre is running the daily cookery events for children during half term after asking local families how they most wanted to fill their free time.

Cookery was chosen by intu Braehead Heads of Fun, Aidan Smith, aged eight and seven-year-old Lucie Roy. The theme was also selected by intu’s nationwide shopper view panel, made up of customers at its 14 centres up and down the country, who were polled on the activities they’d most like their children to take part in during the school holidays.

Different activities such as sushi rolling, cookie decorating and smoothies making will take place at intu Braehead and Soar every day from Friday 10 – Monday 13 February between 12pm and 4pm.

Christine Macdonald, Marketing Manager at intu Braehead, said: “More than 70 per cent of our guests have young families so we’ll be helping them make the most of half term with the opportunity for children to leave the centre having cooked up amazing treats or picked up a new skill they can try again at home.

“intu Braeheads’ talented Heads of Fun helped us to come up with  the theme  that we hope will put a smile on the face of every little chef in our centre this half term. It’s just one example of the compelling events we run in our centre all year round made possible thanks to invaluable insight from our customers.”

Activities are free for all the family and are open to all ages.
