October 4, 2016PAISLEY PIRATES 8 NORTH AYRSHIRE WILD 1
Pirates put on a good performance as they thrashed their visitors by 8 goals to 1 to the delight of the home support.
It took less than 2 minutes before slick passing between Riddell & Wilson with a final pass being left to FRASER CAMPBELL to sink the puck in the back of the Wilds net. The great work continued as BAIN, MILLER and again CAMPBELL saw them notch up a further 3 goals, making it 4-0 Pirates. It was no surprise that the Wild bench decided to call a 30 second time out at 12:36.
The second period saw new signing MARC CRUTE skate hard up the wing to score his first goal for the Pirates, with FRASER CAMPBELL notching up a hatrick, power play goal with an excellent back hand.
Minor Pirate penalties handed out to both teams gave Wild a 5 on 4 advantage, which saw Brown pull one goal back at 36:34, finishing the score line of the second period at 6-1 for the home side.
It took just over 10 minutes of the final stanza for Pirates Man of the Match CALLUM BLAIR to score unassisted, with his second of the evening coming again 25 seconds later.
Coach Ian Turley will be delighted with the immense overall improvement and performance his team are putting on display for the approving fan base of the Paisley Pirates.
