The Grade 2 World Champions have won all four of their opening encounters, two at Grade 2 and two whilst playing up a level at Grade 1.
The Grade 4 band had a first in their grade at Coatbridge and a 2nd place whilst playing up a grade in Grade 3, they followed this up with a third in their grade and a second in Grade 3 at Gourock.
The Grade 4 band were announced the winners in the Grade 3 competition in Gourock but unfortunately a scoring error was detected the following day leading them to tie on points with Grade 3 band Lochmaben and Lochmaben taking the title on ensemble preference.
Pipe Major Keith Bowes Snr commented “it’s been a good solid start to the season from both bands giving us a great foundation o build towards the British Championships in Paisley in a couple of weeks”
