With average rents in Renfrewshire rising by 7.1% in the last year, faster than the average house price, buying a home is becoming the more affordable option for many people.

Since the start of the year, Ashberry Homes in Braehead has been experiencing a rise in the number of first-time buyers visiting their development to explore their options.

Pauline Coates, Sales Director, Ashberry Homes said, “The average rent in Renfrewshire saw a significant jump last year of 7.1%, £882, whereas the rise in average price first time buyers paid was 5.7%.   That’s a significant difference.

Modern living room and kitchen with white L-shaped sofa, colorful pillows, patterned rug, glass coffee table, and wall art. Yellow chair and green plant add bright accents. Open-plan design with wood flooring and contemporary lighting.

“The industry chatter surrounding interest rates being reduced further is encouraging, especially for first time buyers considering purchasing.”

Located next to Braehead Shopping Centre, Ashberry Homes currently has a range of two bedroom energy efficient apartments ready to move into.

Pauline added, “Our current apartments all have internal upgrades and are currently available with a flooring package. Our team also have terrific knowledge to help first time buyers understand the process and help make it happen.”

Prices at Ferry Grove start from £190,995 for a C type two bedroom apartment which includes an open plan living and dining area with a fitted kitchen, including white goods, and two double bedrooms, the master with an ensuite.

Each apartment has access to communal EV charging points and benefits from solar panels.

The showhomes and sales office are open Thursday from 10am until 7pm, Friday and Monday from 10am until 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 5pm.  Further information is available from the sales office on 0141 846 5874 or from bellway.co.uk.
