December 20, 2024The Deacon Blues return to The Bungalow for another show paying tribute to one of Scotland’s favourite bands, Deacon Blue. The band plays all the greatest hits giving you a night to remember with a set list that includes ‘Real Gone Kid’, ‘Wages Day’, Dignity’, and much more. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
Tomorrow afternoon The Silver Maxwell Beatles will be playing a whole catalogue of Beatles classics. Relive the iconic 60s with the music that shaped a generation. Perfect for those cherishing memories or discovering the era’s music anew. Enjoy a show with hits like ‘She Loves You’, ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Get Back’ This is a free entry and doors are 1pm.
The very popular Porkpie are the real deal, from the classic ‘big’ ska band mould, with a full brass section, keys, guitars and porkpie hats to match they play with an intensity and energy that will have you skanking into the night. This gig is sold out but check the Facebook events page for handbacks. Doors are at 7pm.
If you love Johnny Cash, then you will love Jericho Hill who return with a special Christmas show on Sunday afternoon and its free entry. Doors are 1pm.
If you haven’t seen Smokin’ at Tiffanys perform live, then don’t miss this gig, they are superb. They usually play to a full house on Saturday afternoons and The Bungalow have managed to get them for a special evening show on Sunday night. it’s a free entry show but you need to get a ticket from Eventbrite. Doors are at 7pm.
On Monday Paisley First have their last Christmas Movie of the season, and it is probably the best Christmas movie ever, It’s a Wonderful Life with James Stewart. Tickets on the door from 7.30 with film starting 7.45pm.
The Christmas Eve party will be with the amazing Divas Soul who give you a classic Motown and Soul experience, belted out by an exceptional live 5-piece band. Tickets from Eventbrite and doors are 7pm.
The Cave have another great weekend in store starting with Fragments tonight at 8pm then tomorrow at 5pm it will be Filthy White Suit followed by Fire In at 8pm, finishing off on Sunday with Rumours at 6pm.
Ronnie T is playing at The Old Swan today at 4pm followed by Aimless Nomads at 8pm.
Tomorrow afternoon The Headhunters start at 4pm and The Sunday Soul Club kicks off at 4pm, Crawford Carlyle will be performing from 4pm on Monday, Lee James is in his usual double slot at 3pm both Tuesday and Thursday.
The Keg have St Mungo in tonight at 9pm and tomorrow at 9pm it is the turn of Ocean Views. The Keg Sessions are on Thursday at 9pm. There will be live music at Kennedys on Sunday from 3pm and Jenni and the Blockheads are at The Inn on the Corner from 4.30pm on Sunday.
Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Cave from 7pm on Thursday. The Inn on the Corner usually have an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month but this month it has changed to
