So with the news that community officers have been removed from the facility.
All community police officers have been removed from Paisley as Ferguslie Park station has practically closed.
The station is subject to a consultation for potential closure and has seen almost all of its police officers relocated with no prior warning to the people they serve.

MSP Neil Bibby says:
"The decision to close Ferguslie Park police station in all but name is extremely disappointing. People in Paisley tell me that they want more police officers on their local streets, not fewer, and I know many of our local officers feel the same. Moving the Ferguslie Park officers to Johnstone will produce precisely the opposite result.
This won't just affect the local area but it appears now that all non-response community policing for Paisley will be based out of Johnstone.
The decision is especially disappointing considering that the results of the public consultation which opened to review the proposal have still not been published.
The future of the Mill Street police station – which also featured in the consultation – is still uncertain. I have stated repeatedly that the services provided by Paisley’s police stations – the 24-hour public counter, the housing of CID officers and a visible police presence in the town – must not be affected by any changes to the premises. I maintain this view.
The effective closure of Ferguslie Park police station will have a lasting effect on Paisley, but it is also an example of a trend of increasing centralisation of police services across Scotland. Numbers of police officers with in-depth local knowledge have decreased in recent years. The Scottish Government has questions to answer regarding its plans for community policing and the decision-making behind changes to policing operations."
