The Bungalow kicks the year off tonight with a packed bill of young emerging talent and they are Endov, Bitter Suite, Adam Dolan and Static. Tickets are only £5, and doors open at 7pm.

It’s been a while but Paisley’s well-loved multi-talented Tom Urie is back for another afternoon of Juke Box fun. This is an interactive session, where you get to ask Tom to sing your requests and no matter what the song is he’ll give it a go. Doors are 1pm and if you want a seat get in early.

Tomorrow night it is a double bill, One in Ten a UB40 tribute band and Skaledonia who play all the best Ska covers. One in Ten got together in 2019 and they were determined to bring a fresh new tribute dedicated to replication of the live sound of their idols. When the band was formed one of their first gigs was at The Bungalow and since then they have been regular favourites. Their stage performance is all about giving fans a noticeable representation of UB40’s original dub and reggae sound. Expect hits such as Red Red Wine, Can’t Help Falling in Love and Kingston Town. With an emphasis on tight musicianship and a passion in emulating the iconic UB40 its looks like great night.

Skaledonia have just played a blistering gig at George Square over Christmas where they had the festive crowd dancing all night. Pop down for an evening of reggae, pop, and ska courtesy of two of Scotland’s best touring bands. Tickets on the door from 7pm.

Thursday Introducing Night next week The Bungalow are excited to welcome Dignity Row, Jamie Welsh, and Amy Louise to the stage. Doors: 7pm Tickets: £5/3 student

Addiction are at The Old Swan tonight from 7pm and tomorrow in the ‘Shopper’s Slot’ from 4pm is Carlyle Band fronted by Crawford Carlyle. If you haven’t heard Crawford sing before, get yourself down and catch him, you won’t be disappointed. The Northern Soul Club with John Price and Maria McColl on Sunday starts at 4pm. You can get a second chance to listen to the wonderful voice on Monday from 4pmwhen he will be playing an acoustic set, Lee James will be singing songs from the decades and keeping you entertained with his funny stories and telling jokes. David McKellar is on at the usual time of 4pm on Wednesday.

Johnny Barr is at The Keg tonight from 9pm and no doubt he will have some special guests on stage to help get the famous Keg Party going. On Saturday for one night only The Keg are super excited to have Skyline play their first Paisley gig. Heather of The Keg told me “It’s been a long time coming and we can’t wait” She explained “If you’ve seen these guys in Glasgow, you know it’s a gig not to be missed. It’s the only date we can get them for this year so make sure you don’t miss out and best of all it’s free entry” Their lead singer Matt Quigley is simply one of the best rock singers I have ever heard, definitely not one to be missed. The Keg Sessions kick off at 9pm on Thursday with another line up of original music.

If you have a wee bit of the January Blues, The Cave have the perfect remedy, get yourselves down there for a Glamrocknight to remember. It is a dance and sing along night to the great music performed by the fantastic Blockbusters. Get yourself a ticket before it is too late. Check the venue for more live bands over the weekend. They will be on stage at 8.30 and the doors open at 7 pm, so get in early if you want a seat, as seating is very limited.

Kennedy’s have Slider in on Sunday from 3pm and there will be live action at The Inn on the Corner on Sunday at 4.30pm.
