December 18, 2023It’s a super sell out week for The Bungalow and it starts tonight with the legendary Bay City Rollers. It’s been a long time in the making, but Rollermania is coming to The Bungalow, Paisley this Christmas. So, get your tartan scarf out and journey back in time to those carefree days of the 70’s when Scotland’s original boy band ruled the World.
No longer Yesterday’s Heroes, The Bay City Rollers are back, they are touring and will be turning Paisley tartan this Christmas live at The Bungalow so from Saturday Night to Shang-A-Lang, this is going to be the best Christmas Party in Paisley.
I saw them last weeks at St Lukes. Do they sound good? Well, the line-up includes two Loud n Proud guys, Ian Thomson on guitar and vocals and Jamie McGrory, my talented son on drums, so I don’t mind saying myself, they sound amazing. Doors are 7pm, limited seats around the edge of the venue so get in early.
The very popular M65’s are back for more Mod and Northern Soul tomorrow afternoon. These afternoon sessions have been absolutely packed out so again get in early. Free entry and doors are 1pm.
Here’s another reason to get your tartan scarf out and it’s another sell out. The Reclaimers are back for another storming Christmas Party. Doors are 7pm.
Paisley First Christmas Movie Season’s Elf would you believe it is sold out too. The film starts at 11am followed by probably the best ever Christmas Movie, It’s a Wonderful Life starting at 2pm. Some tickets left for this one.
Project Floyd are playing after the run of movies. Expect all your favourite Floyd tunes from Wish You Were Here to Dark Side of the Moon to The Wall. Doors are 5pm and entry is free. The Tuesday Jam starts at 7pm. This week the theme is Paint and a Pint which is an open- mic collaborative art experience where people can come to the pub to get creative with music or physical art. For only £3 come in and use art materials that have been sourced in an eco-friendly way. There is also a mini artists market for customers to browse and enjoy. Doors 7pm. On Wednesday it is Tommy’s Christmas Quiz hosted by my good self. Come down and get a chance to get your hands on £100 and loads of other Christmas bonuses. Doors at 7pm.

Many of you will know of the turmoil going on at Rocknrollas. It looks like Margaret has a way forward after a turbulent time. I’d like to wish her all the best in getting the venue back into the music scene in Paisley where it deserves to be. Keep Music Live.
