March 14, 2023Scotland’s leading homebuilder, Miller Homes, has announced its 2022 Community Fund winners across the West of Scotland, one of which is located in Renfrewshire.
Twist and Hit Cheerleaders, based in Paisley has received a £500 funding boost to purchase ramps and additional aids to make its premises more accessible to those with physical impairments. The club offers classes for all ages and abilities and is a great way for kids to keep fit, socialise and ignite a passion for cheer.
Sarah McNeill, Founder, Director and Head Coach at Twist and Hit Cheerleaders, is thankful for the donation. She said: “The funding will go towards the cost of sprung floor ramp access which is a vital part of apparatus to support those with physical impairments to access our gym. With this upgrade, we can now offer classes to a wider group and increase inclusivity.”
Ten projects across the West of Scotland received donations to help better their community as part of the 2022 Community Fund initiative.
Louise Caldwell, Sales Director for Miller Homes Scotland West said: “The Community Fund has been well received by projects across Renfrewshire, and it’s been fantastic to be able to support Twist and Hit Cheerleaders on the important work they’re doing. Community is at the heart of our Hawkhead development. We understand many projects are operating in challenging circumstances, and we’re glad to be able to help where we can, as we recognise the vital work they do to support those in the local community.”
