Bobby Deans Big Band is back at The Bungalow tomorrow for more Jazz, Swing and Cool Tunes. This is one of the highlights of the popular afternoon sessions at The Bungalow so if you want a seat, get in early. Doors open at 1pm and it is a free gig.

Delighted to see The Bungalow have brought back Laid, the UKs no1 tribute to James. Laid are fully endorsed by the band themselves. The story goes that on Saturday 19th May 2018 Mike Hadfield, lead singer, had a VIP ticket to the sound check prior to the James gig at King George’s Hall Blackburn. During the question and answer session Mike grabbed the microphone and asked the band their thoughts of him setting up a tribute band to honour their music. After deliberating as a band, Saul spoke for them saying “Go for it!” and Tim Booth gave his blessing. Mike set to work gathering the troops to create a band of fans for fans – Laid – a tribute to James.

Laid have hit the tribute scene with lightning pace, receiving high praise everywhere they play. Bookings all over the country have come in thick and fast and the band have marked their territory as the leading tribute to one of the best bands to come out of Manchester. Playing all the hits including “Sit Down”, “Come Home”, “Ring the Bells”, “She’s a Star” and “Laid” they are not to be missed. You can pay on the door and they open at 7pm.

Bungalaff 5 is at The Bungalow on Sunday. The popular comedy session this week have managed to attract a fantastic line up and it looks like this: Your host is Richie McMahon and onstage will be, Graham Stewart, Kenny Sinclair, Graham Barrie, Stevie Coulter, Yvonne Hughes and Sean Reid. Doors are 7pm and you pay on entry.

The Bungalow Introducing Night next week has another line up of some of the best emerging talent Scotland has got offer.  The bill includes Victoria Sponge, Peplo and Fuzzy Lop. A perfect time to bump into your next favourite band.  Doors are 7pm. Tickets: £5/3 Student.

When you see a venue post go up saying ‘Tickets Going Fast’ don’t dither about because if you do you will miss out on bands like Vintage Explosion who are the hottest bad around just now. You’ve guessed it, it’s another sold out gig at Rocknrollas tonight.

Audiorayz are playing at The Old Swan tonight from 7pm and tomorrow it is The Swan Rocks All Dayer from 2pm. The full line up is Proposal, Gordon’s Alive, Underwood Lane, The Dead Flowers, Trunk Monkey, Fire, Heatseeker and Ruff Edge. As said earlier get your gig tickets quick because this one is sold out too no doubt because The Old Swan have yet again put together an amazing line up. Clyde are playing on Monday at 6pm, Lee James from 3pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Duncan McLellan is in his usual slot on Wednesday from 4pm.

The Keg have a band on tonight who need no introduction but here goes…the boys from Proposal will be kicking off the weekend with their hard hitting sounds from 9pm and tomorrow also from 9pm it’s Warren Capaldi. The Cave have a Triple Whammy this weekend starting with Moneypenny from 6pm followed by The One in Seven and on Sunday from 6pm it is Jim Keilt’s legendary Blues Jam.

Sad Ida are kicking off at 3pm on Sunday in Kennedy’s then Moonshine Mojo are at The Anchor from 4.30pm. Open Mic sessions are Abbey Bar on Monday with Dunky Hunter at 8pm and Jason Flood is the host at Gantry on Tuesday from 9pm and Johnny Barr is at The Keg on Wednesday from 8.30pm.
