“When I properly grow up I want to be just like my mum,” says the 27-year-old. “But even if I’m half as good and as much fun as her, I’ll be delighted!”
And yesterday Jennifer gave her mum, Karen a sneak preview of the Mother’s Day event she’s hosting at intu Braehead.
Along with fashion guru, Julie Hannah and the mall’s personal shopper, Victoria Martin, Jennifer will present Ladies Day Out, on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26, between noon and 5pm.

The free event takes place in the lower mall outside Boots store and early birds who reserve their seat online have the chance to win a Ladies Day Out Goodie Bag at the noon, 2.30pm and 4pm shows.
Jennifer describes how her mum has influenced her life: “My mum is pretty much my go-to person when I don’t know what to do. She’s one of my best friends and we get on really well.
“She always gives great advice, very understanding, but also straight-talking and encouraging.
“After I received my law degree I decided I wanted to go into media instead of becoming a lawyer and my mum understood that I was following my passion.
“It was quite a scary option because at the time, I didn’t know how it would all work out for me.
“But my mum supported and encouraged me all the way and she was right because it has worked out well for me so far.”
Jennifer added: “We should be nice to our mums every day of the year, but it’s nice to have a special day for mums. After all, they’ve spent every day looking after sons and daughters.”
Marketing manager at intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald said: “We’re not just celebrating Mother’s Day on one-day but all weekend.
“Our Ladies Day out is a great way of giving your mum a special treat by bringing her along to find out the latest in fashion and make-up trends.”
