August 2, 2016If you see some crazy dressed people, or hear some crazy outrages requests from a group of people in Paisley, don’t be alarmed! They are sane, they are just participating in GISHWHES 2016, http://www.gishwhes.com/, The Team WAYWARD SCOTS are aiming to win this with a chance of an all paid trip to ICELAND with actor Misha Collins, who founded GISHWHES and charity, Random Acts.
There are 173 Items to cross off, where some are outrageous, others are Random Acts of Kindness. WaywardScots is a team of 15, Captain, Vikki Turner from Paisley put the team together and roped in her husband Davie and friend June Kir, our very own volunteer manager for Paisley.org.uk, to complete the team of 15.
So far the good people of Paisley have been amazing in helping Vikki, June and Davie complete a few tasks already, although we cannot reveal these tasks just yet as they could be disqualified for sharing, we can say, Morrison’s, Lone End, Police Scotland Paisley and the Piazza have been brilliant at allowing some whacky stuff to take place. Brian McGuire has been instrumental in supplying contacts and hopefully costumes.
The 2016 Gishwhes Hunt is happening RIGHT NOW! It’s a massive scavenger Hunt that started July 30th and goes to August 6th. Players compete from anywhere in the world, including their own home! They play with friends or make new ones, creating weird and beautiful “art” online and in the world, doing crazy fun activities, and committing heart-warming acts of kindness.
Gishwhes does good while it has fun! Many of our scavenger tasks help communities, and we are the single largest contributor to the charity Random Acts!
