February 10, 2023Absolute Weller are formed from the ashes of ‘The Absolute Jam’. It is their first gig, and everyone has been waiting for it with bated breath. Alan McEwan of The Bungalow announced “We are delighted to announce that the debut appearance of Absolute Weller has been confirmed for tonight with support from the fabulous Bits n Pieces’.
Absolute Weller have been created as a labour of love by previous players of Absolute Jam and includes players from Start/Absolute Jam, The Sectors and Ocean Colour Scheme. Limited tickets to see this ‘supergroup’ are available and doors are 7pm.
The M65s return to The Bungalow for another Saturday afternoon session tomorrow. It is free entry and doors are 1pm.
Tomorrow night The Sensational Alex Harvey Experience will be paying homage to ones of Scotland’s most iconic bands. The idea to form the band was born in 2013 when they were asked to perform a few SAHB songs at a Charity Event and they went down a storm, so much so that they were asked to perform a full SAHB set the following year and again were well received. The decision was taken to continue to perform, and SAHE has been going from strength to strength ever since.
The band play all over the UK and bring the spirit of Alex and SAHB to all corners of the UK. Original SAHB guitarist Zal Cleminson has commented that The SAHB Experience are the closest thing anyone will ever get to the original band. Alex Harvey Jr has also commented ‘My Dad would have approved’. The band’s shows are not to be missed. They are simply ‘SENSATIONAL’ Doors are 7pm and tickets are £8.
On Thursday The Bungalow are excited to welcome The RejeX, Watters and Wee D to the stage for a night full of hip hop music. Doors 7pm. Tickets £5/3 students
Iffy Clyro from the Northwest of England are The UKs No 1 tribute to Scots rockers Biffy Clyro and they are heading to Rocknrollas tomorrow night. You can expect to hear every single hit and album tracks chosen specifically to have you rocking. Boab Williamson said “Iffy Clyro are the ultimate tribute to the Scottish legends, and I’m pleased they are bringing their show to Rocknrollas. Any serious rock fan will not want to miss this.” Doors are 7pm and tickets are £10.
The girls from Feeva bring you a lady’s day ‘DRUNCH’ I know the Feeva girls, and they will be put on a fantastic 80s vs 90s Day at Rocknrollas on Sunday from 1pm. The day includes fizz on arrival, special guest host and singer Curtis Campbell, an energetic performance from Feeva, fun, games, prizes, and lots of dancing. This is a must for all you ladies that love to party. Tickets are £15 and doors are at 1pm.
The Old Swan have Abbey Road in tonight from 7pm. The Dead Flowers tomorrow from 4pm, the Northern Soul Club starts 4pm on Sunday, Clyde are playing in their usual slot at 6pm on Monday. Lee James will be performing on Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm both days and Duncan McLellan is starting at 4pm on Wednesday.
The Cave have a doubler tomorrow starting with Sad Ida at 6pm followed by Durty Mac at 9pm. Rumours playing on Sunday from 6pm.
