Mortal Kombat 11 comes with an addition of a new character named Sub-Zero, and some old favourites returning. Which characters stand out? Mortal Kombat 11 features three playable characters from across the Mortal Kombat universe, including Johnny Cage, Raiden and Scorpion. There are also two returning fighters – Liu Kang and Ermac. Fans will be able to play as Shao Kahn, Goro or Kitana, too.  Here is a brief description of out favorites.

Sub-Zero

The first new fighter introduced in Mortal Kombat 11 is Sub Zero, a cold-blooded assassin who can freeze his opponents in ice. He’s the star of the sites de jeux en ligne game’s fourth cinematic trailer released today. “I’m going to take you all home!” he says at the end of the video. You can see him fighting for the first time here. The new character won’t make it into Mortal Kombat X either; that version goes back to 2011 when this video was released.

Johnny Cage

In another change of direction, Mortal Kombat 11 has returned to its roots with Johnny Cage, the former leader of the heroes. He joins forces with Shang Tsung in MK11. Johnny Cage, along with other Mortal Kombat warriors from past online casino games, appear throughout the game using their signature moves.

Ermac

Ermac is one of the most notorious enemies in the series. As well as being part of the original trilogy of games, Ermac also appeared in the rebooted Mortal Kombat in 2007. He fights alongside Johnny Cage once again in Mortal Kombat 11. His iconic Final Fight is included in this trailer – watch it below. He returns in MKX though.

Liu Kang & Kung Lao

Liu Kang and Kung Lao, from the Mortal Kombat Trilogy, have been included in Mortal Kombat 11, but they now fight against each other. This makes sense given that both were originally mortal versions of Liu Kang and Kung Laozi, although only one survived. Both return in MKX and the story mode.
