May 24, 2024Some great things happen that happen by accident. After a band cancelled at The Bungalow a space came up for grabs.
Up jumped local Paisley band The Citadels hot off their headline slot at the Paisley Food and Drink Festival to headline a cracking line up of rock and at the same time launch their latest release, Ashes. Alan McEwan of The Bungalow said “We are excited to welcome The Citadels to The Bungalow. I saw them at the Food and Drink Festival, and I thought they put in a great set. I’m looking forward to seeing the support on the night who are Straw Dogs 1980 and Townsmen. Tickets are £5 but be quick as demand will be high as this is a surprise show from the band. Doors are 7pm.
The Bobby Deans Big Band once again are back for another afternoon of the very best in big band tunes. Doors are 1pm and it is free entry.
After smashing 2023 with 2 sold out gigs at The Bungalow in 2023, Definitely Oasis are swaggering back tomorrow night for more. Definitely Oasis are regarded by many Oasis fans and promoters alike across the globe as the best Oasis tribute band there is. Try Skiddle for tickets and doors are 7pm.
Jericho Hill bring their amazing tribute to Johnny Cash to The Bungalow for a completely free gig. Arrive early to avoid disappointment. Doors are at 1pm. Bungalaff Stand Up Comedy on Sunday evening is once again hosted by Richie McMahon. The headliner is The Rev Obadiah Steppenwolfe 111. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
The Bungalow Jam Open Stage with The Jam House Band are back on Tuesday from 7pm to entertain you and help any performers. All backline and drumkit provided just bring your instruments.
Thursday night is a must for Springsteen fans. Springsteen By Robertson aims to capture a flavour of the Netflix phenomenon that is known as Springsteen on Broadway. Springsteen By Robertson has been meticulously stitched together by Dougie Robertson the founder and front man from The Springsteen Sessions and Peter McAteer, his long-time musical friend and collaborator to bring a little of the Springsteen on Broadway magic to Paisley. For those of you saw the Netflix show, the guys hope you enjoy their version of Springsteen on Broadway. Tickets on the door from 7pm.
Live action starts at The Old Swan tonight from 8pm with Addiction and tomorrow the annual Magfest all dayer is jam packed with the best cover bands in the country. The line up looks like this: Crawford Carlyle kicks it all off at 1pm, Sad Ida 2pm, Fire In 3pm, Escapade 4pm, Trunk Monkey 5pm, Target Street 6pm, Aimless Nomads 7pm, Soldiers of Apollo 8pm and The 79’s at 9pm. Hollie Robinson is in The Beer Garden Stage at 3pm followed by a DJ set then it is Graham Miller a Sax Player from 6pm. The Sunday Soul Club starts at 4pm followed by The Vagabonds. Live acoustic sessions are on Monday and Wednesday at 4pm and Lee James will be playing at 3pm on Tuesday and Thursday. 11 acts all day for Maggies, well done to all at The Old Swan.
The Highway Chile is at The Keg tonight from 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time it is Bad Boy Boogie. The Keg Sessions start at 9pm on Thursday for more new original talent. The Inn on the Corner have a double date this week. Tomorrow at 4.30pm Best Bad Influence will be rocking the place and on Sunday at 4.30pm it is Jenni and the Blockheads. Live Sunday at Kennedy’s start at 3pm.
